The Whittlesea Agricultural Society Inc. extends an invitation to local beef breeders to participate in the “Irwin Stockfeeds Hoof & Hook Competition” on Sunday 1st November 2020.
We thank our naming rights sponsor “Irwin Stockfeeds” and major sponsor “Nutrien Ag Solutions Euroa & Seymour” and our other participating sponsors for agreeing to sponsor the competition in 2020.
The competition, usually part of the Annual Whittlesea Show, provides an opportunity for beef breeders to benchmark their cattle against other local breeders. Whilst this year the competition will be run with a very different platform due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Society believes that the important annual feed-back that this competition provides for the entrants should not fall victim to this extraordinary year.
Those entering the competition will need to comply with any government restrictions in place on the day of the competition and due to the constantly challenging position we all find ourselves in there may be changes to the venue or drop-off times for entries and so therefore all entrants must supply contact details, preferably both a mobile phone number (for SMS messaging) and email address.
The competition will be run under the normal guidelines and regulations of the Whittlesea Agricultural Society Inc. as they are applicable to this one-off event however, as the office will be closed all entries must either be posted (in time to arrive before the closing date) or emailed. Cash payments will not be accepted. Entrants must be prepared to pay their entry fees by either cheque, credit card or direct bank deposit.
This year discounted Entry Fees are only available to “Financial Society Members.” Society Membership is $60 and the annual membership year is 1st July 2020 to 30th June 2021. If you were not a Society Member in 2019, then any new Society Membership must be approved by the Council of the Whittlesea Agricultural Society before the competition date.
The closing date for this competition is Friday 23rd October 2020. Late entries will not be accepted unless pre-approved by the Superintendent Ross Draper.
